As you may know the World Arthritis Day is globally celebrated on or around October 12th. The Middle East Arthritis Foundation will organise a great community event this Friday (10th Oct) and Saturday (11th Oct) and whats more ?! It will be open to the public and free of charge!
We at Vogue A la carte totally support this cause and think this is an absolutely fantastic opportunity that is best utilised !and feature exercise sessions, interactive round table discussion with experts, a Juvenile Arthritis Forum, cooking contest for patients and much more.

JOIN US for 2 days of activities with our experts to learn more about arthritis, receive valuable tips & advice on how to effectively manage the condition and live your life happily
All activities will be free of charge and open to the public.
Date: October 10th, 10am - 8pm, Radisson Royal Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road
Stretching and breathing practical session for arthritis patients; weight loss and nutrition sessions; fitness training with an expert; lunch; roundtable discussion with patients and experts (rheumatologists, physiotherapists, nutritionists etc.) and much more. *The discussion will be held both in English and Arabic.

Juvenile Arthritis Forum for patients and kids with Dr.Betina Rogalski (Consultant Paediatric Rheumatologist, the Children's Medical Centre, UAE), Dr.Suma Balan (Consultant Paediatric Rheumatologist, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, India) and Ms.Maya Kobeissi (Registered Dietician Specialised in Paediatric Nutrition, Dr.Humeira Badsha Medical Centre, UAE). While children will be enjoying ceramic painting, parents will have a chance to receive practical advice from experts, participate in discussion and exchange opinions.
Date: October 11th 3pm - 7pm, SCAFA culinary school, unit 6, promenade level, cluster I, JLT, Dubai
Cooking session for patients with arthritis guided by chef instructors and nutritionist. Participants will have a chance to receive advice from experts on healthy eating, easy and effective cooking techniques, strategies for simplifying meal preparation, nutrition and much more. Interactive and positive cooking contest will be followed by a healthy dinner for all participants.

A Pop-Up Party

So over the weekend we attended the Pop-Up Party held at the A4 Space on the Alserkal Avenue hosted by The Fash Set. We go there in the early afternoon and the place was already hustling with shoppers, bloggers, photographers and designers! We totally loved the set up of the whole event, it was quirky and fun-tastic. There were many fun things to try out photobooth by Sharing Box , braid bar by Marquee, baked goodies from Sugaholics and non-alcoholic drinks from Scavi and Ray.

There were an array of new designers featuring their line, the place looked like any girl's dream! with more than amazing line of dresses and accessories. This party was the right place to be at to feed your inner diva.
Shweta Wahi :- First and foremost, we were so glad to meet Shweta again after the India Fashion Week. She was one of the designers to be featuring her collections, there were a few familiar pieces and many new ones from her latest collection. We personally love her effortless style in her collection, her use of comfort along with details and designs is remarkable (definitely one of favs!) . Always a pleasure to meet this sweetheart.

ShayMartian:- The first online swimwear boutique based out of dubai, this swimwear collection was out of this world! Catering to all kinds of style for swimwear weather it be cool and hip or cute and flirty, there was something for everyone! We loved the whole idea of the display of bikinis.

The Dress Room :- Okay! so this was the part where our jaws literally dropped! The clothes we found here were so damn fancy that we wished everyday was Prom ! The intricate details and embellishments took out breath away! And whats more awesome is that they cater to all kinds of sizes, so it doesnt matter if your size- 0 or size- 16 they will have something utterly unique and beautiful for you. They were sweet enough to let us try on a few of the dresses as well and let me tell you, they fit like a button !! The fabric was so soft and flowy, these dresses make you feel like a million buck!

INDIA FASHION WEEK DUBAI
Over the weekend Dubai witnessed its first India Fashion Week, a weekend full of glitz and glamour! There were an array of fabulous collections showcased by fashion designers
I was also fortunate to walk the ramp, for the very first time, for India Fashion Week Dubai. The scene was mad and crazy!! How deceivingly perfect and effortless the ramp walk, the models, the walk, the set everything looks but one doesn't realise the countless hours and immense effort put in to bring all the people together under one roof to create such an utterly magical experience!!
I had the opportunity of walking for Shweta Wahi, a designer who believes in effortless style. Amidst all the chaos was Shweta with her wide welcoming smile making all us feel so comfortable ! Her collection- Solace was a fusion of Indian embroidery with Arabian silhouette. As she rightly puts it "With Comfort Comes Confidence and Confidence is Always in Style".

RUNWAY DUBAI
It was the sneak peak of Summer 2014 by 8 international and local designers, held at the Sofitel Luxury Hotel- The Palm.
The array of designers set the stage on fire with their oh so lovely collections. We perosonally loved the intricate detailing, the use of velvet and a unique blend of fabrics.
Desingers Victoria Strange, Tina Lobondi, Farida Deglel, Ghawashi Couture, Amraoui Couture, Modope Omonze, Nazreen Idris and Donaco couture had us awestruck. There was a surprise performance by Desra Garcia (considered the Queen of Soca) aswell, oh boy!! she had us all booty popping!!
We thoroughly enjoyed the evening, here are some of the pieces that we loved along with a pic what was in the goodie bag :D
